ITT Company Profile

Globally, ITT Inc. develops and supplies essential engineered components and tailored technological solutions for clients across the transportation, industrial, and energy sectors. The firm organizes its operations into three primary divisions: Motion Technologies, Industrial Process, and Connect & Control Technologies. The Motion Technologies division specializes in manufacturing braking system components, such as brake pads, shims, and shock absorbers, along with energy absorption products and advanced sealing solutions. These products primarily serve the global transportation sector, encompassing passenger vehicles, light and heavy-duty commercial trucks, military transport, buses, and rail systems. The Industrial Process segment is dedicated to designing and producing heavy-duty pumps, valves, and sophisticated systems for plant optimization and remote monitoring. This includes specialized centrifugal and twin-screw positive displacement pumps. The segment also offers comprehensive aftermarket support, encompassing spare parts and maintenance services. Its diverse customer base spans industries like chemical processing, energy production, mining, and various other industrial process markets. The Connect & Control Technologies unit focuses on engineering and manufacturing a broad portfolio of precision-engineered connectors and bespoke control elements for highly demanding applications across markets such as aerospace and defense, general industrial, transportation, medical, and energy. Its connector offerings encompass a wide array of electrical connectors—including circular, rectangular, radio frequency (RF), fiber optic, D-subminiature, and micro-miniature types—in addition to cable assemblies. Furthermore, its control product line comprises actuators, valves, pumps, and switches for flow management; specialized components like rate controls, seat recline locks, and elastomer isolators for aircraft interiors; elastomeric bearings vital for rotorcraft vibration dampening; heaters, hoses, and composite ducting for environmental control systems; and sophisticated composite materials for engine applications. Established in 1920, ITT Inc. maintains its corporate headquarters in White Plains, New York.
